My Favorite Visitors

Last week my family came to town to visit. I loved every second of having them here. They spoiled us and stocked our pantry (thanks again Mom!) I don't think Summer was ever put down for more than 5 minutes. She loved meeting Aunt Kaydee and Uncle Brett who were both so sweet with her. They were all such BIG helps in taking care of Summer while I was sick. We were very sad when they had to go home!

We even got a visit from my sweet cousin Trisha who drove all the way up from Tucson with her girls. I loved seeing her and Reagan and getting to meet darling Morgan. How fun to have our little girls so close in age and not too far a drive away.

We're Home!!!

After almost three weeks we finally got to bring this cute girl home! She is now where she belongs... with us ALL the time. I now feel like I am really a mom. I love it and look forward to all the joy she will bring to my life.

Like Mother Like Daughter

My family always makes jokes about the way I sleep calling it "assuming the position." This means head back and mouth WIDE open. Well it looks like Summer sleeps just like her Mommy. She definitely makes it look a lot cuter than I do! Summer is still in the NICU. They need to keep her there until she can keep her food down. They haven't given any indication yet as to when she'll be released. So for now we're just taking it a day at a time. She's wearing the cute little sunglasses because she's had to be under the light for her jaundice. We love getting to go see her and can't wait for her to get to spend all of her time with us!

Life Will Never Be the Same and We Couldn't Be Happier

Summer Allsop officially joined our family on September 7th. She was born at 1:15 a.m. and was five weeks early. Summer weighed 4 lbs. 13 oz. and is doing well. I got to hold and snuggle her for a while before she was taken off to the nursery to get checked out. Throughout the morning she has been back and forth to me and the nursery. Right now they are trying to warm the little girly up. Now for the important part... cute baby pics!

Last First Day

Sid just had his last first day of school ever. The moment wouldn't be complete without a brand new outfit and a classic first day pic!

Three Years

Three years ago yesterday Sid and I were doing this:

I can't believe how fast the time has gone. I guess that's what happens when you get to spend the rest of your life with your best friend. I feel so blessed to have Sid in my life.

I know there is no one in the world who would love me as much as he does. He would give up everything he has just to make me smile. He is such a wonderful husband and I know he will be an amazing dad! I look forward to growing old with him and enjoying life's adventures all along the way.
I LOVE YOU SID!

We Did It!!!

Sid and I walked across the stage and picked up our diplomas on April 24th. It was SO fun!
My family was so sweet to make the drive from California to share in the special day.
Kaydee even shared her birthday with us.
Granny and Papa came out too.
Sid's parents also came and celebrated!
Thank you everyone who made graduation possible for us!
I can't believe we finally did it.
We owe so much to our parents for getting us through.
And I have to thank Sid for being my cameraman.
Without him I don't know what I would have done!

Entering the Blogging World

Alright... here goes nothing. I am now attempting to become a blogger. I make no promises I will be any good at this or that I will blog regularly. It looks like fun and maybe just maybe I will one day understand how it all works. It looks like a great way to stay in connection with family and friends plus it seems like a journal. I've never been good at keeping a journal so hopefully this will do it for me! Pics to come for sure!
