Pumpkin Patch

It's a little hard to feel like Halloween when the weather is still sunny and in the 90s. So in an effort to bring on the fall like feeling we headed to a pumpkin patch.

Summer was a little afraid of the ponies, could care less about the chickens and the pigs, yet the ostrich she loved! I could not get her to take her eyes off him for a second. The rest of the animals were so kind and gentle yet this guy kept trying to peck us. Silly girl, she still loved him the most!

DISNEYLAND!

Every year my family makes the trip to Disneyland for fall break. We were so excited that Sid got to come this year too! We had SUCH a great time. I mean, how can you not it's the happiest place on earth!

Thanks for such a fun trip. We CAN'T wait till next year!!!

She Turned ONE!

Summer turned one at the beginning of September! We are so lucky to have this cute, sweet, loving, yet independent girl in our family. We LOVE you Summer!!!

She got to celebrate her birthday twice. Once, with my family in California and then on her actual birthday at home. She didn't like cake either time. But presents were a hit!

Happy birthday Summer!!!

A Little Bit Sleepy

I put Summer in her high chair as I got her food ready and this is what I came back to.
What a tough life!

Easter

The Easter Bunny came and left some fun surprises for Summer!

It wouldn't be Easter without Peeps. This girl loves to gab on the phone already.

Take me out to the Ballgame

Spring training is finally here! I love that I can go watch the A's play here in Arizona for a WHOLE month. Sid, Summer, and I have a lot of games to catch!
Summer took a "timeout" for a bottle.

Wedded Bliss

Sid and I were able to go to Vegas to see his brother Clay get married. They make a very cute couple. Welcome to the family Caitlin!

Yummy Socks

Socks make a great naptime snack don't you think?

She Laughs!

Sid and I have tried and tried again to get Summer to laugh but I guess we really just aren't that funny. Today I did something right and she finally gave us some giggles.

New Years

Here's to a happy and healthy 2010!

Christmas

We celebrated this Christmas with Sid's family. It was so nice for all of his siblings and their spouses to get to be together. We had such a great time.Summer with her toys from Santa.

She pretty much slept through the whole Christmas morning festivities but I was so excited about the Bumbo I just had to get a picture of her in it whether she was awake or asleep.

Bright eyed and happy later in the day in her new Christmas outfit and bow.

Christmas Tree & Santa

It's tradition in my family to go up to Apple Hill the day after Thanksgiving and get a Christmas tree. Normally it takes a bit for my mom to find just the right one but with the help of some rain picking a Christmas tree took no time at all this year. We took Summer out in the rain just to snap a few pictures! Also during our trip to Brentwood we went to see Santa. Look how happy she is to see Santa. Hopefully she'll be all smiles with the big man next year.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we made the drive out to Brentwood. This was Summer's first trip out to Gramp's and Grandma's house. (Sorry mom you'll have to be Grandma till we come up with something you like.)

She met her Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Peterson.

She spent some quality time with Gramps.

Napped and snuggled with Grandma.

And even got to hang out with Luke!

The trip was so fun! We can't wait to see you all again!

Summer's Blessing

Summer was blessed on November 1st. It was so great to have SO many family members come for the big day. She is one loved little girl! Her blessing dress was also worn by my mom, me, and Kaydee. I love not only how beautiful it is in appearance but also the sentimental value it holds. Thanks Mom for letting us use it.

Blogging here I come!

I have come very close to failing at this whole blogging thing. But I'm back and ready to catch up on all I've missed. Stay tuned for what's been going on in our lives!
